Older Adult Program
Silver & Strong
Increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living as you have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a small all are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
Silver Circuit
Increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout having fun at the same time. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a small ball is alternated with low-impact aerobics choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Silver Cardio
An aerobics class that’s safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints. It includes easy-to-follow low-impact movement and upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.
Silver Yoga
Practice a complete series of seated and/or standing yoga poses that will move your body to build muscle as you stretch and relax at the same time. Increase in flexibility, balance and range of movement. Perform safely with a chair support that is offered in all classes. Final Relaxation with restorative breathing exercises promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
Aquaerobics for All
Vary your exercise program with the most gentle to the joint class, Water Aerobics. They offer "fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning". Some aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination.
Active Older Adult Classes
